Woodlands of Ireland (WoI) in conjunction with the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Forest Service of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine ran some webinars on the topic of Native Irish Tree Seed Collection in 2021. The webinars arose out of discussions from the Woodlands of Ireland Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) group meetings. The TAP groups are made up of key expert individuals who provide technical expertise and guidance on specific matters or projects. The Seed Collection and Sustainable Plant Production group addresses issues relating to native tree seed collection, forest reproductive material (FRM), seed collection permits, and tree nurseries.
